Mai Haruna (春菜まい Haruna Mai) is a popular and prolific Japanese gravure model and AV idol. She debuted in 2002 and performed in a variety of Japanese adult video genres until her AV retirement in 2005. She had continued, however, to perform in uncensored/underground (“urabon”) PPV and internationally released hardcore content up until 2010. In total, Haruna had produced close to 300 titles (including compilations) and 8 photo books during her career.

Haruna made her AV debut at the age of 18, in September 2002, in Crystal-Eizou’s “Tawawana 18-sai” In October of that year she appeared in the English-titled HOLIDAYS, the first of her many photo books. During the course of her career, Haruna made most of her videos with AV studio Moodyz and did quite a few for Dogma, Attackers, VIP, and Media Bank. She was honored at the 4th annual Takeshi Kitano Entertainment Awards for 2003 where she won the Leading AV Actress Award.

By 2005, Haruna had officially retired from traditional AV films. However, like many other AV Idols, after leaving mainstream Japanese porn, she made a few "uncensored" movies from 2006 to 2010 for “urabon” studios Ero Media, BUBAN, and J-Spot which appeared first as pay-per-view online videos, and later as uncensored DVDs. In 2009 and 2010, Haruna made a series of uncensored videos for US company Third World Media under its Asian Eyes label, which would be the last porn scenes she has filmed to date.
